The Maternity Experience

the beginning of your motherhood journey

Pregnancy is truly a wild ride – full of highs, lows, and everything in between. I totally understand if you’re feeling exhausted or overwhelmed and questioning whether it’s worth the effort to document this time in your life. But trust me, a few years from now, you’ll look back and be so grateful you did. As a Boston maternity photographer, I’ve had so many clients tell me that their maternity session made them feel more beautiful and confident than they ever imagined. I know you’ll experience the same magic when you step in front of my camera!

I recommend scheduling your maternity session between 29-34 weeks of pregnancy for the most flattering results. This is the time when that gorgeous “glow” really shines through. If you're expecting during the warmer months (May through October), we can take advantage of the stunning outdoor locations around the North Shore area for a fresh, natural backdrop. For those cooler months or if you prefer indoor settings, I offer cozy studio sessions year-round.

Whether you want to include your partner or older children in the photos or focus solely on showcasing your glowing moments, I’ve got you covered. And don’t worry about feeling awkward in front of the camera—I’ll guide you every step of the way, helping you strike flattering poses so you look and feel your absolute best.

When you book your session, you'll also receive exclusive access to my client closet, which means you won’t have to stress about what to wear. I’ll help you select the perfect outfits, so you can simply relax and enjoy the experience without any of the guesswork.

It all starts with a conversation. The best way to reach out is via email (be sure to include your due date!) I'll send you all of the info you need and answer any questions you may have to make sure I'm the right photographer for you. I'm also happy to schedule a call if you'd prefer to chat over the phone before making your decision.

When you're ready to book, I'll send you my booking forms which include a questionnaire to help with styling, the session contract, and an invoice for the session fee. You'll select either a studio session or outdoors, and we'll go over available dates. Once everything is signed and paid, you're officially on the calendar!

Styling your maternity session is the most important part to make sure the photos match your vision. I'll send you my catalogue of maternity gowns and separates so you can choose your favorite looks. If you have items from your own wardrobe you want to wear, I'm happy to provide styling tips and suggestions to make sure everything looks cohesive.

Whether we're meeting on location, or you're coming to the studio, I will make sure you look and feel your best! You'll be guided through each pose, so there's no need to worry about feeling awkward in front of the camera. If your partner and/or other children are joining us, I'll be sure to include photos with them as well!

It's time for the best part - viewing your photos! About a week after our session, I'll send you a link to your private online gallery to view your proofs. Once you've selected your favorite images to purchase, I'll get to work retouching and perfecting your portraits. Digital images will be delivered to your inbox and physicial products, such as prints, arrive straight to your door.

How it Works

when should i book?

In order to ensure I have availability within the desired time frame of 29-34 weeks, it's best that you book once you are out of your first trimester.

How long do sessions last?

Maternity sessions typically last about an hour. If we are outdoors, the session will be scheduled during the hour prior to sunset for the best lighting. Studio sessions can be scheduled any time of day.

what should I wear?

I've got you covered there! You'll receive access to my wardrobe of maternity gowns, separates, and chiffon silks. I have a variety of colors and styles available. If you prefer to use your own wardrobe, I'm happy to provide styling tips & guidance.

can we do studio and outdoor photos in one session?

When booking, you'll need to select either studio OR outdoors - we are not able to do both at the same time. If you want the look of both, you'll need to book two separate sessions.
