As a Cambridge MA Newborn Photographer, it’s always interesting to me to see which images my clients will choose from their session. A lot of times my favorites get left behind, but not this time! There were so many sweet images in this guy’s gallery, but his mom and dad chose some of the very best ones!

Sometimes when babies arrive at the studio they are awake and ready to party – which was the case with this little man. When that happens, I go straight for the swaddle. I have a magic swaddling technique that puts (almost) any baby to sleep. I can then transition from one prop to another pretty easily without waking baby up. Once I know baby is asleep, I can transition them over to the beanbag. Some babies will start to wake up when you take them out of the saddle, but not this guy! He stayed perfectly sleepy for the rest of the session. That makes my job a lot easier. We were able to capture several different sleepy poses on the beanbag before ending with the family photos. I always wrap baby back up for those shots because I like to keep the diaper covered. No one needs a mess all over their nice clothes 😉
