You know the saying “classic never goes out of style”? It’s one hundred percent true, especially when it comes to documenting your pregnancy. Studio maternity sessions are a perfect way to capture that classic look. While many clients enjoy outdoor scenery, if you are looking for a maternity photoshoot in Cambridge MA, I highly recommend considering a studio session. The studio setting offers a wide variety of lighting setups, and the best part – no need to worry about the weather! Us true New Englanders know how quickly the weather can change on a dime.
My gorgeous client reached out to me to schedule a maternity session in her 36th week of pregnancy. While this is somewhat beyond my preferred window of 29-34 weeks, I knew how important it was for her to document this time in her life before her babies arrived. Yes, you read that correctly. Babies. Can you believe she is expecting twins!?
With any maternity session, regardless of location, you always have the option of including your partner and/or other children. Some expecting dads aren’t super excited to get in front of the camera, but I always encourage them to participate. Especially if you are expecting your first baby, these will be the last portraits you have of just the two of you. It’s such a special, intimate time in your life that deserves to have its own moment in your gallery. I’m so glad this couple decided to do several poses together because they ended up being some of my favorite images from the entire session.
If you are planning on a maternity photoshoot in the Cambridge, MA area please don’t hesitate to reach out! I love working with families from the city. My studio is located in Beverly, but many clients make the drive from the city without any issues. It’s a charming, cozy space that is the perfect setting for documenting this special time. Wardrobe is provided for these sessions (for moms only), but you can always wear your own outfits as well. It’s all about making sure you are feeling your best for these portraits!
