I truly love living in Massachusetts (as easy as it is to complain about our wacky weather). There are so many beautiful locations, especially around Boston’s North Shore, and I’m always so excited when it’s finally warm enough to start offering sessions outdoors. One would think that the end of May would be the perfect time for an outdoor maternity session. Alas, Mother Nature had other plans on the day of our session and it was windy and COLD! My clients, who were troopers, braved the wind and chilly temperatures and the result is beautiful portraits that they can look back on to remember the pending arrival of their baby boy.

Maternity sessions are a beautiful way to celebrate your growing family. You will love having these images to look back on after your baby arrives! I recommend booking your maternity session in your second trimester and scheduling it between 30 to 35 weeks. This timing is ideal because most expectant moms have a nice round baby bump by this point, but aren’t yet super uncomfortable! These sessions can take place outdoors at a location of your choice within the North Shore area or in the studio during the colder winter months. The studio has a wardrobe of gorgeous custom maternity gowns that are available to any client booking a maternity session.
