During the summer months my evenings are almost always occupied with maternity sessions. While a lot of my clients like shooting their sessions at the beach (and I can’t say I blame them!), I always love venturing out to different spots around the North Shore. One of my favorite places is Brooksby Farm in Peabody. The grounds are beautiful year round and there are lots of little hidden spots with beautiful light. Plus, who doesn’t enjoy the ambiance of farm animals off in the distance? 😉 We actually encountered a little bunny during our session but he ran off before I got the chance to catch him photo-bombing one of my shots.

Maternity sessions are a beautiful way to celebrate your growing family. You will love having these images to look back on after your baby arrives! I recommend booking your maternity session in your second trimester and scheduling it between 30 to 35 weeks. This timing is ideal because most expectant moms have a nice round baby bump by this point, but aren’t yet super uncomfortable! These sessions can take place outdoors at a location of your choice within the North Shore area or in the studio during the colder winter months. The studio has a wardrobe of gorgeous custom maternity gowns that are available to any client booking a maternity session.
