I’m not lying when I tell you this is the most fun session I’ve ever had in the studio. Let’s talk about when Mr. G’s mom and I were chatting about wardrobe. She asked if I had anything in size 3T….for her 1 year old. I knew right then and there it was going to be good. As of now my wardrobe goes up to 18 month size only, so we planned for some simple outfits that mom picked out herself. As soon as Mr. G came in to the studio I knew we were doing some photos shirtless. I know, it sounds weird. But is there anything cuter than baby chub and rolls? The answer is no.
With each milestone session I like to capture images that demonstrate everything your baby has learned to do. This guy was able to stand with assistance (not walking just yet!) so I pulled out my trusty min-ladder for him to pull-up on. He loved it! Then we moved on to the most super fun cake smash ever.
Mr. G’s mom was totally in love with my vision of just her baby and a simple, white cake. These really are my favorite way to document cake smashes since I often find excessive decor distracting. We gave baby his cake and let him go to town. And boy…did he ever! The cake was a perfect 4″ round – a great size for baby to play with and explore on their own. Also a great size for picking up the entire thing. His mom and I were in stitches. It eventually ended up in his lap, which as you can see, didn’t bother Mr. G at all!
