So you just got your adorable newborn photos back from your baby’s photoshoot. Yay! But now…what do you do with them? Where’s the best place to put them on display? I’m going to break down the three best ways to display your newborn photos in your home.
Baby’s Nursery
This one seems like a no-brainer, doesn’t it? One of the best places to display your newborn photos is inside your baby’s nursery. You’ll be spending a lot of time in this room as your baby grows and will love having those memories to look back on! You can hang images above the crib as a statement piece (with anchors for stability, of course) or over baby’s changing table. If you’re short on wall space, you can use smaller sized prints (like 5×7 or 8×10) in frames on areas like side tables or shelves.
The Kid’s Playroom
Children love being able to see photos of themselves on the wall. If you have an area of your home where your kids like to play, use it as a space to display their newborn photos! You can even create a “grow with me” wall that features photos of your children as they get bigger. What a fun way to showcase their growth over the years!
The Master Bedroom
As important as these images are for your children, they are also YOUR most special keepsake as well. Displaying images from your baby’s newborn session in your own space is a great way to enjoy them every day. Want to make your display really stand out? Consider showcasing one of your maternity portraits next to a family image from your newborn session. It’s the perfect “before and after!”
Regardless of where you ultimately choose to display your newborn photos, just be sure you actually print them. It’s so easy to get caught up with sharing everything online. Professional portraits should be something you can (and should) enjoy regardless of your access to social media, an electronic device, or the internet. Get those photos off of your computer or your phone and onto your walls! That’s where they are meant to be enjoyed every single day.
